Jacquelin Janis - Fitness Program Manager
Jacquelin started volunteering at ROCovery in March 2021. After realizing that recovery is not just for individuals with an addiction, but a process affected loved ones go through as well, she wanted to get more involved in the recovery community. With a passion for fitness and all things active, ROCovery was a perfect fit! Spending many years in the CrossFit community showed her just how impactful fitness and community can be in someone’s recovery journey. Jacquelin earned her master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at Nazareth College, she has been coaching and involved in CrossFit since 2013, and continues to grow in all things fitness and movement based. Jacquelin loves spending time with family and friends, boating on Lake Ontario, playing with her German Shepherd, Moira, and trying new baking recipes.

Heather Whitney - Outreach & Engagement Specialist
Heather became a member of ROCovery in November of 2021. It was a starting point for her to find friendships and activities in early recovery. She has two children and spends most of her time with them and their many, many extracurriculars! When she does have a moment to herself she enjoys reading and rewatching Grey’s Anatomy or Outlander. Joining the ROCovery team is the next step on her own recovery journey, giving back to the community that helped her find her own footing when she didn’t know where the next step would lead. She is so excited to see where this next chapter takes her!
